Pi Day Comics in Review

Happy Pi day everybody.

Spent my Wednesday playing board games with a few friends of mine. I may have even missed a few comics this week. I definitely enjoyed Batman #18.

When I read Batman #7 with Harper I was intrigued by the character. I liked that they intruduced a new person to me even though I did kind of compare her to the female robin from Miller's Dark Knight Returns. What was that girls name? Should I Goggle what issue Harper really started in? I feel like a cranky old man lately. I prefer to look through books I actually have when I have a pdf that I can CTR+F to find what I am looking for and I refuse to use Spotify because it is too complicated. One sec. Okay I got up and looked through my physical comics. This led me to realize that I don't have the comic with her in it. My birthday is May 11th and I like any cover variant on that issue. It was issue 7 by the way.

Anyways. Batman 18 Harper Row makes her return. I was glad to meet the new character in #7 and then never saw he in the comics following. I was starting to think they introduced me to her just as a filler issue but was hoping there were going somewhere with this. Now that she has returned I like where I think they are going with this. I do believe we are going to see some developments in the other bat comics soon and that Harper is going to be a regular sight to see. I guess I didn't have as much opinion on Harper as I though I did. I guess I just wanted to say that Harper is cool.

New Wolverine #1
Ultimate Comics Wolverine #1 with Legaciiies scrawled across the side of the cover. I don't even know how many Wolverine #1s there have been by now. I wasn't going to complain about another one though, I was just going to read it. I can't pretend to understand where they are going to go with this run but I don't feel like they gave it the right name. The first thing they tell you is how Logan dies. Then they tell us about his son. They spend the first portion of the comic doing stuff with wolverine that supposedly happened in some type of past even though I am totally confused on timeline here. Then the spend the second portion hanging out with his son. I have a feeling that this comic is going to be about wolverine and his son. They should have called it Wolverine and son. I think that would have been appropriate. It wasn't a bad comic though. I just complain about everything. My favorite part was when people got cut. I also liked it when Quicksilver shows up at some point that I won't spoil. As soon as they start in with the time travel though I am bailing on this comic.

Wasn't much but that was all I wanted to talk about this week. Can't just have her a lady bursting out of her clothing all the time and turning green. Now to do more work on my Mutants and Masterminds Campaign(s)
