If I were in a comic this would be me. |
Arrow. Just watched it. Liked this episode. I'm sitting here screaming, "He is in a van you flippin idiot" the whole time. He wasn't gone on an island that long. Also River Song cried and shit. That sucked. I am looking forward to next season. I'm going to enjoy the fuck out of it. This shit is way better than Smallville. LOL. They said central city and flash. Oh wait. The season isn't over. There is still like 4 or 5 episodes. WOO!!! That means that All in the same week I can watch Arrow, Walking dead, Arrow, Game of Thrones, and Doctor Who. Next week is going to be an amazing week.
Age of Ultron. I know I rambled nonsense last wed (or whatever) about Ultron but now I really have read up on Ultron. And Fuck. I don't want to spoil things too much more than I love to spoil things. We miss out on a cool fight between Luke Cage and She-Hulk. She throws the fight for a reason. Then at the end of issue
three it turns out that just outside the forest they lived in their whole life was a fence and a jeep and it is really the 1970s. Also Red-Hulk is now named Dave. Don't argue with Taskmaster Hulk.
I started out not a fan of this Ultron stuff. I liked the cool foil textured cover and stuff but beyond that felt meh at first. I think I will try and keep up with it now. I wish it was more of a several comics arc that I complain about all the time and I don't like tony's tron outfit. I get that he would have a suit under his suit but why the fuck is it glowing.
Wednesday began a new line of Green Hornet comics. Now I can only say I was a Green Hornet fan from watching rererereruns of the show and the recent movie with Seth something or another. Too many seths. His name might not even be seth. But you know. that Bruce Lee show. So that is a thing. Dynamite comics. Look that shit up and go buy a copy at your local comic store.
Please don't ask where I got my graphics art degree from. |
Wolverine and the X-Men was a little off task it seemed. I would have preferred they kept the story simple enough in one book then get to where they are jumping around and don't even finish what they are going on about. Then I read some Savage Hawkman. Got to say I don't know why I haven't read any Hawkman before. I guess I just thought he was boring before I even gave him a shot. Today I learned that he can take his wings off. The more you know. If what is in store for issue 19 is to be believed as well then he likes to pick easy battles. I mean come on. Blockbuster? Netflix, Redbox and the average movie watcher has already done them enough damage. The company is long from going under but damn. Way to kick a guy while he is down. You can do it direct TV! Return blockbuster to its former glory!
I have been working on some stuff for a super hero role playing game with the Mutants and Masterminds rule set recently. My story line is basically going to be a mutants one with quite a few differences. I sat down one day and spent a good hour and a half coming up with mutant expletives. Trying to see how much more I could get than mutie and gene freak. I came up with a few things and found a few more things online used in X-Men comics and by bloggers. Uncanny Avengers covered this topic today. This guy over here covered it better than I would so go read it over there. Plus I already read it over there so I would feel like I am plagiarizing.
Galaxy, guarded. good for them. Glad that was botched. Day one and the guardians aren't to so well. BUT I do love me some cable and the X-Force. Do you guys remember when beast had his second (or does it count as third) mutation and he started looking more cat like? I never heard a good reason for that but it seems that Wolverine has undergone a cat like mutation himself. I guess all the years he has walked on the earth watching people be stupid has turned him into grumpy cat.
Colossus has always been whiny so nothing has changed there. This comic is full of lots of good guys being bad guys while people think they are bad guys but they still think they are bad guys. Basically double standards. Then Cable's dad shows up. There goes the neighborhood. This "super security" prison sure does let a whole shit ton of weirdos break in at the same time. I do wish somebody would explain Cyclops' Racer-X costume. Not the design. I like the design. But how does his laser thing work. He doesn't put his hands up to it. Are we going with the whole portals in his eyes things and he can adjust the aperture to blast? How does he shot laser? Does anybody know. Well that is up for this week in comics. I'm going to stroke my beard while I still can.
Seriously. Who thought up prehensile hair. Where is the guy with a prehensile beard.
